Paid Course Terms & Conditions

Unanth allows you to identify and be responsible for the fees on your courses. You should charge students/ users only for your own submitted content. Unanth will handle billing and other fee interaction with users. If you choose to participate in any of the Unanth’s Marketing programs, the fee you receive from Unanth will be in accordance with the terms of the program that applies to the sale of your course. Usually you will receive the following:

  • The net amount received from the course varies based on how the sale was completed. The net amount is equal to the amount actually received from users for that course, minus any refunds paid, payment gateway fees, applicable sales or other taxes (if any), and any amounts paid in connection with our marketing programs that you participate in.
  • Unanth defines sale completion based on how the student was acquired into Unanth and how that particular sale was generated.
  • Student acquisition on Unanth is defined as below-
  • If a student creates an account in Unanth through a promotion by a specific tutor, the student is said to be acquired by that tutor.
  • If a student creates an account in Unanth without a specific promotion by a tutor, the student is said to be acquired by Unanth.
  • Student acquired by a specific tutor (say, tutor X) will be said to be acquired by Unanth for courses owned by all tutors other than that specific tutor X.
  • Course sale generation on Unanth is defined as below:
  • If a particular sale was generated through a promotion by tutor, the sale is said to be generated by the tutor and will be termed as "Tutor sale"
  • If a particular sale was generated either through a general promotion by Unanth or through an organic sales from an existing user on Unanth, the sale is said to be generated by Unanth and will be termed as "Unanth general sale"
  • If a particular sale was generated through a paid promotion by Unanth, the sale is said to be generated by Unanth and will be termed as “Unanth paid sale”. Paid promotions include all promotions where a sale is driven through an advertisement or promotion sponsored by Unanth (online or offline)
  • The percentage of course revenue earned by the tutor for a particular course will vary depending on the how the student was acquired and how the sale was generated. Usually it is the below:

You would be able to increase the portion of your fee by promoting your courses. You are able to generate coupon codes on Unanth.com. You are required to create specific coupons valid for the specific course. For students that input the coupon code, generated by you, at the time they enroll for that specific course, you will receive up to one-hundred percent (100%) of the net amount (minus payment processing charges).

Unanth is authorized to perform the appropriate calculations, deduct and retain the transaction fee, other fees related to marketing, if any, and pay the balance as indicated above. The net amount on a course is usually the price of course set by you except in cases when that course is offered under a deal as a part of the Unanth deals program as described under the "Unanth Deals Programs Terms & Conditions".

Students purchasing courses on Unanth.com are entitled to refunds as per "Our general Terms of Service (refer to our "Refund policy")" and Unanth will deduct such refunds from the amount owed to you. Unanth team will issue any amounts remaining after the foregoing deductions and adjustments, in US dollars/SGD, via PayPal. Payments are disbursed within forty-five (45) days of the end of the month in which the fee for a course was received. You are responsible for providing Unanth team with all identifying and tax information necessary for the payment of disbursed amounts. Tutors are responsible for payment of all applicable taxes relating to income earned by them and Unanth is not responsible for any individual tax related disputes.
